The Victorian Bushfire Safety Policy Framework provides direction and guidance to government and agencies on the improvement of community bushfire safety for all Victorians.
The protection of life and the safety of individuals are paramount. The framework identifies a range of areas that support community bushfire safety and form the priorities for action in the development and implementation of programs and resources to support people’s response to the bushfire risk.
Where appropriate, organisations with responsibilities in relation to these priority areas will develop policies, guidelines and procedures to give effect to the Framework and its objectives.
