The State Tsunami Sub-plan provides sources of information and to outline the arrangements for ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach to the State’s management of tsunami events, in order to reduce the impact and consequences of these events on the community, infrastructure and services.
A large tsunami in the Victorian context is considered a low probability but is a high consequence. Smaller tsunami will occur more frequently but will likely only pose a risk to individuals and assets in or on water.
