Victoria’s emergency management sector has begun preparations for the summer season and Victorians are being urged to start actively preparing too. 

Victoria will have 50 aircraft available for the summer season to fight fires from the air and help keep communities safe. 

East and West Gippsland will be a focus for emergency services this coming summer, as very dry conditions over consecutive years results in an above-normal bushfire conditions.
