Fast-running grassfires will be a risk across Victoria this summer, according to the Australian Seasonal Bushfire Outlook released yesterday.

The latest Australian Seasonal Bushfire Outlook for December 2020 to February 2021 indicates an ‘average’ fire season for the state, which is in line with earlier predictions from the September-November 2020 outlook.

Parts of the Wimmera and Mallee and East and West Gippsland are forecast to experience above-normal bushfire potential over the summer, according to the update of the Australian Seasonal Bushfire Outlook, released today.
