Kentbruck Fire Review This fire started on the 4th January 2013, a day of predicted extreme fire weather and a declared day of Total Fire Ban. It originated on the Portland – Nelson Rd in the vicinity of plantations and under the influence of strong winds quickly extended into and through the pine plantations and into the adjoining National Park.

Learning as One – Victoria’s page for lessons In August 2017, the Operational Assurance and Learning Arrangements was approved by the State Review Team and State Coordination Team. These arrangements outline how state level / multi-agency lessons will be identified and learned. Lessons on this page have been identified using this process.
Lessons management framework (EM-LEARN) In November 2015, Victoria’s first sector-wide lessons management framework, EM-LEARN, was approved. This framework further supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement and outlines a model for lessons management and how it will be implemented into the sector, particularly operational activities initially.
