Victoria's Critical Infrastructure All Sectors Resilience Report 2018

The Critical Infrastructure All Sectors Resilience Report 2018 provides an overview of resilience improvement activities being undertaken by Victoria's eight critical infrastructure sectors.

The report highlights the importance of critical infrastructure to every one of us. Every day, we enjoy the benefits of water, energy, transport, food supply, health services, communications, banking, finance and government services. It is the water we drink, the power we use in our homes, and the telecommunication systems that connect us.

Just as we all rely on critical infrastructure, we all play a role in keeping it strong, secure and resilient. The report highlights the importance of ensuring that our critical infrastructure is resilient enough to absorb to the impact of emergencies, and reviews the impact that emergency incidents have had on Victorian infrastructure assets over the last twelve months. The report also lists key risks and proposed resilience improvement initiatives for the coming year.

As a result of the partnership and close collaboration between industry and government, Victoria is better placed to respond to future stresses and shocks. The expertise and knowledge of industry partners helps us to understand the key emergency risks facing critical infrastructure, and minimise their impact on the community.
