The State Heat Plan provides a consolidated overview of the Victorian arrangements for reducing the impact and consequences of heat events on the community, infrastructure and services.
The State Heat Plan has been developed in conjunction with a number of Victorian government agencies with responsibilities relating to the management of the impact and consequences of heat events and with existing plans and arrangements accordingly. The State Heat Plan outlines clear coordination arrangements that complement these existing plans and arrangements, with the aim of ensuring the activities of these agencies are integrated and coordinated.
The State Heat Plan has been written for the community, business, industry, emergency management agencies and State and local government.
The plan encourages all parties to prepare ahead for heat events in order to reduce the impact and consequences on the community, infrastructure and services.
