Victoria is sending 21 personnel to New South Wales today to assist with managing the fires in and around Busbys Flat in northern New South Wales.
The Victorian contingent includes personnel from CFA and MFB, and is predominantly operational firefighters who will form a strike team.
The crews will travel to Casino via Sydney and be deployed in the field for three days before returning home to Victoria on Saturday 26 October.
Over the last month Victoria has sent over 50 people to New South Wakes at various times to assist our interstate colleagues with these challenging fires.
Deputy Emergency Management Commissioner Deb Abbott said Victoria was pleased to support and work alongside New South Wales teams to keep the community safe.
