Two Victorian projects have been recognised at the National Resilient Australia Awards.
Congratulations to Strathewen Primary School and the Arthurs Creek Strathewen CFA for receiving a Highly Commended award for their project to enhance bushfire education in the region, which included the creation of a short film to promote better understanding of Fire Danger Ratings.
Wyndham and Melton City Councils have also received a Highly Commended award for their collaborative project that recognises the fundamental role of social capital and social resources in building disaster resilient communities.
More than 120 entries were received as part of this year’s Resilient Australia Awards and our Victorian representatives should be very proud of their innovative work.
