Have you contributed to making communities safer, more connected and better prepared for disasters and emergencies? Consider entering the 2020 Resilient Australia Awards.
The Resilient Australia Awards is a nation-wide program to recognise and promote initiatives that strengthen community disaster resilience.
Your entry can build on Victoria’s great track record over the previous 20 years of the awards. Last year, Strathewen Primary School won the National School Award. Watch the ABC report about their entry .
In the first stage of judging, Victorian finalists will be awarded in six categories:
- local government
The awards are open to all Victorian individuals and organisations, including emergency service personnel and agencies, not-for-profit organisations, businesses both large and small, local and state government, schools, education institutions, and research bodies.
Applications will be judged at the state and territory level, and the winners will become finalists for the national judging.
