Emergency services personnel recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

14 June 2022

Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp was one of the 992 Australians recognised for their service to the community as part of the Queen’s Birthday 2022 Honours List yesterday.

22 of those recipients were Victorian emergency services personnel from agencies including Victoria Police, Country Fire Authority, Fire Rescue Victoria, Life Saving Victoria, Victoria State Emergency Service and Volunteer Marine Search and Rescue Mornington.

Commissioner Crisp has become a member of the Order of Australia for his significant service to the emergency management sector in Victoria through both his 40 years of service with Victoria Police and his current role.

Commissioner Crisp said he was humbled to receive the acknowledgement.

“I very much appreciate the recognition, but for me, it’s all about the great people you work with and family support,” he said.

“Thank you to all our wonderful emergency services personnel who were acknowledged with Queen’s Birthday Honours; those who have and continue to commit their time to keep their community safe. Thank you for what you do.”
