The following information provides details of recent natural disaster events and allowable time periods to incur expenditure for relief and recovery activities and submit claims for reimbursement through Victoria’s Natural Disaster Financial Assistance (NDFA) scheme.
Under the NDFA, all eligible expenditure must occur within designated time frames. Eligible expenditure incurred during the financial year is required to be lodged in the ACMS by the 31 July of each year (within one month from the end of the financial year) for assessment by the relevant assessing authority.
The deadline for local councils and Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) to incur expenditure associated with recent natural disaster events, and submit claims for reimbursement of this expenditure, can be found in the table below.
