Validation process used by assessors 

When assessing a claim under the DRFA, the assigned Assessor is required to complete a validation process form outlining the steps undertaken in the assessment. A copy of the validation process for each of the claim processes are below:

Assurance Framework

The Assurance and Controls frameworks are required to be followed to facilitate the States’ assessment and reimbursement of the claims and the Commonwealth’s cost sharing contribution for eligible disasters. The process is reviewed by both State and Commonwealth appointed auditors. The below framework attached is specific to DRFA Category B essential public asset reconstruction works.
